Football is the most powerful sports in U.S. It is a part of study in all schools, colleges and universities. Students love to participate and want to be a famous soccer player of the world. For this, football associations have made some plans for the players to establish them. On the other hand, the players are prepared from the lower level. They are trained form school levels. Some of them who can’t affordexpenses are assisted by scholarship programs. These are not limited to schools only. All colleges and universities are offering a financial support for the best player with in some limits. This way any student can play while learning. They can get a degree while playing their favorite game.
It is in trend now to get football scholarship (FBS programs). Many talented students get admission in colleges and become world class player. Students of 18-24 can request for this benefit on the bases of ability after completing their graduation level.
FBS allows 85 scholarships. These are further grouped in divisions. They choose 25 players each year. There are 115 colleges under NCAA Division I. There are 80,000 football college players in all institutions. And 850 programs are offered each year. The players are classified from school to college. So the percentage for FBS is different for each.
Football Bowl Series (NCAA DI FBS): This high level program. It offers 85 scholarships.
Football Championship Series (NCAA DI FCS): This program consists of 63 scholarships.
NCAA DII: It has 36 levels for each team.
Some other on junior level is NCAA DIII, NAIA andNational Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
For all these scholarships the eligibility is very important. They need healthy, intelligent and good in game football players.
Average scholarship starts from $10,400 to$8,700. It is different for men and women athlete.
