American Football Field Compared to Soccer Field

There is no huge difference between football field and soccer field. In American football, field is 110m long and 48.76m wide whereas side lines, end lines and goal lines are marked at the distance of 9.1m. In the center point there are goalposts. The goal is being scored in this particular area when it crosses the line. Other marking lines in white color are hash marks, short parallel line and yard lines. In the center of the two end lines there is a goal post.The penalty area is used for different purposes. The goal keepers try to defend the goals, penalty kicks and free kicks are also performed in this zone. The half way lines restrict teams to play carefully. The players are declared offside if they break any rule between the lines.

 
During the preparation of the fields some numbers are marked by the professionals to identify the right zones. In some cases artificial turf is used for surface where weather conditions are not favorable for wet grass.

 
In soccer field depends on the place where it is played so every parameter is different because of location. Most commonly measurements by FIFA for soccer fields are 91.44 m to 118 m length and 45.72 m to 91.44m width. There are two points, one for starting the game and other for the ending. Two circles are marked in the middle with the radius of 10 yards. There is a penalty area shown like a box, 12 yards away from the goal. The standard size of goal is 8 feet in height and 24 feet in width.In the middle of the field there is a line called halfway line with a circle in the middle. Only two players are allowed to stand inside it.Some areas commonly marked in soccer are; the penalty area, the goal and the half way line.
