Football Players Who Became Actors

From sports stars to TV star, it is not a long journey for every athlete. They got trainings during ad campaigns for the companies. They look graceful and decent in TV advertisements as compare to football ground. In a modal boy look and feel they attracts to the audience. The film and TV directors use them for their name, appearance and fame. There are many players who have changed their career after retirement.

Among them is David Beckham on number one. He is still famous not only as a football player but an actor also. He had served as a captain in England football team. He was nominated for the player of the year award from FIFA in 2001.  His successful movies are “King Arthur: Legend OfThe Sword”, “Goal! The Dream Begins, Bend It Like Beckham” and“Into the Unknown with David Beckham.” He has recently participated in a comedy show.

The third amazing actor with seven years in NFL is Terry Crews. His movies itself showed acting talent as a supporting actor in “White Chicks,” “Bridesmaids,” and “The Longest Yard.”

Vinnie Jones after playing in 350 premiere league matches started acting from a movie “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”  in 1998. Other movies are “Snatch” and “Mean Machine.”

Michael Strahan is hosting morning shows now in America. He played football from Giants. In 2009 he was starred in a sitcom “Brothers.”
